The term computer has a broad meaning and different for each person. The term computer (computer) was taken from the Latin meaning the computare (to compute or to reckon). According Blissmer (1985), the computer is an electronic tool that is able to do some task, that is to receive input, process the input in accordance with the instructions given, keep the commandments and processing the results, and provide information in the form of output.
Meanwhile, according to Sanders (1985), the computer system is to manipulate electronic data quickly and precisely and is designed and organized to automatically receive and store data input, processing, and produce output based on the instructions that have been stored in memory. And many more experts who try to define the different on your computer. However, essentially it can be concluded that the computer is an electronic equipment that can receive input, process input, provide information, using a program stored in computer memory, can store the program and the results of processing, and works automatically.
From these definitions there are three important terms, the input (data), data processing, and information (output). Data processing using a computer known as electronic data processing (PDE) or elecronic data processing (EDP). Data is

collection of the incident was of a fact (the fact), can be numbers, letters, special symbols, or a combination of three. Data are still not able to tell so many need to be processed further.
Data processing is a process of manipulating data in the form of a more useful and more means, which is a form of information. Thus, information is the result of a data processing activities that provide a more meaningful form of a fact. Thus, electronic data processing is the process of manipulating data in the form of a more meaningful form of an information by using an electronic instrument, namely a computer.
